Customer Review: Bought new, but received a refurbished item.

The negative reviews are spot on. I checked this machine over and noted that the black lid had scuff/worn marks on the top that could not be cleaned off. There were 3 dents and dark scuffs in the stainless steel body. Also mysteriously absent were the little plastic sealers that are used to cover the electronics, etc.
Just not going to pay full price for a refurbished/used item. Guess I will just have to get a different bread machine or try to find this in the store new.

I purchased the Emeril breadmaker because of the name and was so dissappointed. It was too big and had too many features to be the simple breadmaking machine that I wanted. I exchanged it for the Breadman Pro and am so delighted because it's simple and easy to use and have not had a failure yet.
The star ratings and customer reviews were the determining factors for purchasing the Pro.

I cannot believe any company trying to survive a recession would send their customers refurbished, defective, and even dirty items!! What are they thinking? I will never purchase this company's product ever and I will certainly make my family and friends aware of their disgusting and unethical performance. Customer Review: Confusing manual, but good bread

The description on Amazon and on another website selling this product both mention that this breadmaker makes 1, 1 1/2 and 2 lb loaves. That is why I bought this particular bread maker. The instruction manual mentions only 1 1/2 and 2 lb loaves. No 1 lb loaves. I used a recipe for a 1 lb loaf. It turned out to be yummy bread, so I am very satisfied with this breadmaker. The bread is better than expected, and has that tasty homemade quality that preservative-free bread should have.
I am new to bread machines and wanted something easy to use. I am an absolute beginner. I didn't like the complication of having to discover on my own if it makes 1 lb loaves, hence the 3 stars. But the bread itself deserves 4-5 stars.
