Customer Review: Love this machine, but starting to leak grease after 18 mos

I purchased the Breadman Corner Bakery TR888 new in July 2007. 18 months later it's still working well, with the exception that grease is starting to leak from the shaft that the paddle sits on in the breadpan. I average about 2 loaves of whole wheat bread each week with it, and love the bread (I use the whole wheat recipe that came with the machine). My first bread machine, an Oster, had the same problem, and the paddle eventually got very hard to turn. With this one, I put the oil in first and manually move the paddle to work in the oil into the shaft, so it's still turning well, but I don't like the look of the dark black grease on the bottom of the loaf. I called customer service, and they said I need a new breadpan, but that they don't make the breadpans anymore or have any in stock. Bummer! I asked if the grease was safe for consumption, and they said it was. It's sad to see this machine not supported, where everything else on it works perfectly, and to think that it may eventually have to be thrown away for this shaft problem. Hopefully it will keep on working, and that working the
